The Council for Responsible Sport offers a framework to help you deliver purposeful events that go above and beyond the bottom line.

With two collections of standardized good practice guidance, both based on a tested and proven framework that relates directly to the production and delivery of sporting events, organizers don’t have to reinvent event responsibility with every production.

Designed to equally balance elements of social, environmental and economic responsibility, the Responsible Sport Standards can be used by event organizers to self-assess performance, or, after verification by a third-party, to certify their adherence.

When implementation of the Responsible Sport Standards is documented and verifiable, official certification gives you the bona fides to share and grow your responsible sport story.

Third Party Verification

The Council for Responsible Sport works with a network of experienced event sustainability professionals to independently witness, document, and confirm on-the-ground implementation of event plans and policies, and to provide observations and recommendations for future improvement. These individual verifiers serve as the third-party between event organizers and the Council for Responsible Sport to enhance the transparency and ensure the validity of efforts and statements by both parties about the responsible actions of events.
